Hot Mama In The City

"Abrelo a ver qué pasa" means "Open it and see what happens" in Spanish and with thought, I opened up a pack Trident Layers Gum and waited to see what unfolded. I noticed that whenever I chew gum that a side of my personality becomes enhanced, that side is my Southern California valley girl person inside me that begins to twirl her hair with her fingers and say things like "Whatever" and "Oh emm gee" and ''like'' a lot. Not my best look because I tend to smack my gum and chew loudly. My aunt once told me that I sounded like a horse. I don't blame her, I probably do.

Anyway, none of that was going on today. Today was different. After the last few days with dealing with most of the people in this house being sick and cleaning up the after math, I was in much need of some down time. So I stuck a piece of Trident gum in my mouth and laid out on my bed to see what unfolded. I was looking for some inspiration and motivation, something....anything. I needed to get back into the grove of things.

It was nap time and all mom's enjoy nap time because of what unfolds during that time. Peace and quiet unfolds and mothers bask in it. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep in a mid-day slumber. Not much inspiration can be found during a nap but it definitely helps when you begin to feel overwhelmed. So nothing exciting unfolded this time around just some much needed quiet and rest which for some sleep deprived mother's, that can be something to look forward to.
