Spicy Pineapple Margarita

July 24th is National Tequila Day. As an ambassador of Tequila Cazadores I wanted to celebrate the occasion with a frozen Spicy Pineapple Margarita recipe. Both sweet and spicy, it’s perfect for the warm summer days. I made this margarita with fresh ingredients and jalapeño infused Tequila Cazadores. Tequila Cazadores is a premium tequila made from 100% blue agave. Agave from the highlands has a more citrus, floral, and sweet taste than other tequilas. Tequila Cazadores includes five types of tequila; Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, extra Anejon and Cristalino. Tequila Cazadores is a high quality tequila at an affordable price.



Jalapeño Infused Tequila

  • 1-2 Jalapeños
  • 1 bottle of Tequila Cazadores Blanco


  1. Slice or dice jalapeños and place in a jar along with the Tequila and shake it up.
  2. Place in a dark place for at least 48 hours
  3. After 2 or 3 days, pour Tequila into a strainer to remove jalapeños and seeds.
  4. Tequila should be good for up to a year.



Spicy Pineapple Margarita

  • 1/2 cup of Tequila Cazadores Blanco
  • 2 cups of diced Pineapple
  • 3 oz of lime juice
  • 2 oz of Mango or agave nectar (can substitute for simple syrup)
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 3 cups of ice cubes




Instructions

  • Place all of the above ingredients into a blender and mix until well blended.
  • Rim glass with Tajin and pour.
